April 2020 - The Funeral Co-operative of Ottawa is seeking a licenced, bilingual funeral director with an entrepreneurial mindset to help run the day-to-day operations of a not-for-profit, growing funeral business while supporting the efforts and workflow of the managing funeral director. 

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to deliver the full range of funeral services to our members, including pre-arrangements, while sharing the administrative tasks required to maintain day-to-day operations.  The position requires a variety of skills, the most important of which are time management, task prioritization, critical thinking, and self-care.

Candidates must be fully bilingual in English and French, both written and spoken, possess a valid Class 1 Funeral Director’s Licence in good standing, a valid Ontario Driver’s License with a clean driving record, and immediate access to a vehicle during working hours.

Wilson Funeral Home is a fast growing family owned funeral operation with multiple locations in Cornwall, Ontario.  Due to continued growth and expansion we are currently seeking a full-time Ontario Licensed Class 1 Funeral Director to join our team.  The successful candidate will be self-motivated, possess excellent communication and computer skills and be a personable, compassionate representative of our funeral home. This position will include some evening and/or weekend work with limited scheduled on-call duty.
